Oops - missed this paragraph. Since there are so many infrastructure difficulties, I've taken to type my notes in word, noting where I need to insert photos and then copying and pasting into the blog. What a pain but it's a doable solution!
We knew this was going to be a long day but didn’t realize how long. Ernie said he definitely underestimated the amount of driving and drive time. We never even got to the Kauri Museum and still didn’t get home until after 6 p.m. Originally, Ernie planned on visiting the Kauri forest, the Kauri Museum, the small steam train in KawaKawa and the glow worm caves. Obviously way underestimated – still a great and full day.
