Rothenburg is the best-preserved medieval town in Germany. It has an almost completely intact city wall measuring about 1 ½ miles. The wall connects five gates, complete with guard towers that date from the 13th to the 16th centuries. This has been our fifth visit to this charming town. We weren't going to take this optional tour but as we got more into Bavaria and saw the half-timbered houses, we knew we had to go back to Rothenburg again. So glad we did.
This was a scene in the Christmas store in Rothenburg! |
Went looking for an ornament that said Rothenburg on it for Gracie but couldn't find one. Instead I found this one! |
Only three more days to catch up on. Hallelujah ! Night all!
