Óbidos again!

Just two more things to mention. In Evora, we saw merchants selling stuff made out of cork - hats, handbags, bowls, coasters, etc. They were really cool and quite expensive and I was concerned about a handbag lasting or getting stained. Outside the walled city in Óbidoos, there were tents with folks selling bread, cakes, nuts, Ginja, and stuff made out of cork. The young lady we talked to said the cork was impervious to stains and water and it lasts a very long time. In addition, her costs were very reasonable. So, I now have a handbag made out of cork and it is very cool and I doubt that anyone I know will have one. I also have two bracelets made out of cork.
